Remington Rand 90 columns punch card

Remington Rand 90-columns Punch card

The information on these pages regarding Remington Rand, drawings and the photo's were provided
by Mr. Oliver J. Jones, Garden City, NY, USA in order to preserve some computer history.

The 90 column card used round holes a 1 & 9 = 2, 3 & 9 = 4 etc. Various combinations of numbers made up the alphabet. The card would enter the inbox. The pins that entered the holes would lock up force wire up in a wire unit (the equivalent to todays program) and the process would continue from there.

Punch cards were printed as well to show where certain information went.

Here we see the card for hours worked, payroll hours and men days
of the Grunman Aircraft Engineering Corp.
