Computer history: the period 1978 – 1983

Computer history: the period 1978 – 1983

The computer history between 1978 and 1983 was characterised by performance enhancements of the mainframe, better and more graphical services, and increased asynchronous data communication speeds. The number of models and simulations by the Operational Research group increased rapidly:

  • The CDC CYBER 74
  • Graphical Services
  • Data communication
  • Stories and anecdotes
