Former research facilities

 
TNO Defence, Safety and Security has developed and used unique research facilities over the years. Reason for the Museum to pay attention to it, even though few tangible objects have been preserved. Some facilities still exist in an abandoned state.
Below, the facilities are arranged per the main TNO location: 

• Rijswijk Plaspoelpolder and Ypenburg
  • Pulse physics/electromagnetic launching (1983 – 1997)
  • Laboratory for Ballistic Research – 76 mm cannon (1992+)
• The Hague Waalsdorp
  • Measuring station Roeleveense Plas at Nootdorp (1953 – 1995)
  • Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) research facilities (1970 – 1993)
  • Test facility for outdoor intrusion detection systems (1990 – 2005)
  • Landmine detection testbed (1997 – ~2005)
• Soesterberg
